RESEARCHAND REPORTS

MISSION

The Department of Research and Reports at LGBT World Beside (LGBTWB) is dedicated to advancing understanding, support, and effective integration for LGBTQ+ refugees from Central Asia ,Eastern Europe, and Caucasus  in the Netherlands. Our mission is to address the unique challenges faced by the refugees by studying integration processes, identifying barriers, and recommending solutions to foster an inclusive environment that enables their full participation and well-being in society.

OBJECTIVES

With the increasing number of LGBTQ+ refugees, there is a growing need for effective integration and adaptation strategies in the Netherlands. LGBTQ+ refugees often face double discrimination as members of minorities and as immigrants, which makes their integration process particularly challenging. Understanding their needs and obstacles that they face when coming to a new society, will enable LGBT World Beside to develop more targeted and effective programs that will benefit both the refugees and the Netherlands in building more cohesive and accepting society.

Our key objectives include:

1. Conducting quantitative and qualitative research on the integration levels of LGBT refugees.

2. Identifying the main barriers that LGBTQ+ refugees face in their integration journey.

3. Evaluating current support programs in the Netherlands, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements.

4. Developing recommendations and targeted initiatives to better support and integrate LGBTQ+ refugees.

5. Reaching out and establishing connections with other organizations to share knowledge and foster collaborations to advance the betterment of the intergarion process.

ACHIEVEMENTS
