MISSION
The Proud Integration department of the LGBT World Beside project seeks to facilitate the integration of refugees, especially those from the LGBT community, by creating opportunities for language learning, professional development, education and socio-cultural adaptation. We believe that successful integration, advocacy and support for vulnerable groups such as LGBT refugees contributes to an inclusive and just society.
OBJECTIVES
Increasing knowledge about education and career
We work in partnerhip with universities to create opportunities for refugees, including LGBT refugees. We provide information about available educational programs and courses as well as opportunities for further development. This opens paths for integration into the academic environment and career.
Language and academic adaptation
Organizing language exchanges for refugees at universities helps them to master the language and necessary skills. We also provide counseling and information sessions to help them navigate the educational system and find the right resources.
Career and employment
In collaboration with businesses and universities, we launch programs for internship, employment and skills development aimed at refugees, including LGBT refugees. These programs adress the need for labor market integration and adaption to the cultural and professional norms of the new society.
Social support for integration
Together with universities and students, we create communities of support where refugees can seek the help they need on their path to self-sufficiency.
Creating inclusive spaces
In partnerships, we create safe education and work environments for LGBT refugees.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Educational guidance
Through our programs, refugees, including members of the LGBTQ community, receive up-to-date information about educational resources for advancement and successful establishment.
Labor Market Integration
Creating educational and vocational opportunities helps refugees enter the labor market more quickly and successfully, which has a positive impact on the economy.
Social inclusion
Our initiatives aim to raise awareness in society and universities of the challenges faced by refugees, especially LGBTQ refugees, and promote an inclusive educational and social space.
Professional Growth and Adaptation
We help refugees find opportunities for professional growth and adaptation in their new society by providing them with the tools and information they need to be successful in employment.

We are proud of the achievements of the Proud Integration project are believe that similar programs can be implemented by other nonprofit organizations aiding refugees. We hope that the expansion of such initiatives will positively impact the lives of refugees, securing their inetgration, well-being and success.
